And what do you do when there is six weeks to go...

You run out into the market and buy a house. So we have put in an offer on a place in Brisbane, it looks like this. 4 bedroom, 2.5 Bathroom Brand new... good work us!

Give us a yodel if you wanna know more details. But anyways, so we now have to pack... and Melli is so very thrilled by that... as shown.

Ever so happy... I guess the only thing keeping her sane right now is the fact that she still gets treated like the princess she is... Also as shown...

Can you see the princess-ness? If so... please show me.

Reasons not to leave a pregnant women alone

So this is what happens when you leave a pregnant lady alone at home...

She sleeps...

But then if the husband returns home in a sinister mood... he takes photo's in compromising situations.

The Big Question...

So not for the first time and probably not for the last I have been asked the big question... How is Harvey going to deal with the baby... and not getting all the attention. I think the following photo's show that for now he is dealing quite well, and all in all, has it under control.

You can see here that Harv has found a new schmumfy spot... Here he is listening to the baby... Meanwhile, Little Lump was kicking up a storm, probably trying to tell the 35kg Bulldog to get off of him... Harvey's ears moved with each kick... but otherwise... he didn't budge.

And of course Harvey had to try out the new bed... Not as nice as his own (now with electric blanket) and as such was suitably unimpressed... As you can tell by this photo.

6 weeks on...

It's been about 6 weeks since the last post, and since then Mel has been busy baking the baby, and I have been getting busy with the tools... And no there are no photo's here of me losing a finger.
Despite the commonly held perception that I cannot use a drill, I have proved you all otherwise.. and with Harvey's help, I would like to present..
Little Lump's Room, the beginning..

So I now know the sex of our child. So what is it? Does Harvey have anew baby brother or sister? Did Melli get her wish for a little gay boy, who will tap dance and do ballet? or Did Kris get his "Daddy's' little Girl", who dresses completely inappropriately?




Or did Kris get his soccer prodigy son, to be proud of? or Did Mel get her worst nightmare, in a new princess in a house with one princess already?

Ok so now I'm teasing...

Anything obvious here... Well to the trained eye... this is a shot from the waist down, with the curly thing on the left the umbilical cord... and then just below it.. coming out from behind the thigh in the foreground.... Still can't see it... check the next picture, I'll make it blantantly obvious.

Yep, It's definately a BOY!!

So Mel and Kris are having a baby boy... some stats for those that need to know.

The baby is due around October 5th 2008, it is currently 19 weeks and 2 days as of this post, the baby weighs 282 grams, and is roughly 19cm long.

Mel can't feel the baby kicking yet, because the placenta is on top shielding her from all the kicking and movement that is going on. So the doctor expects she won't be able to feel anything until the baby is much stronger, around 26 weeks... So no maltesers ad recreations for a while.

Otherwise the mother and baby are heatlhy.

First Scan Photo's

So we had our first scan today (other than an earlier aging scan), and it turns out LL Cool B is a little older than first thought. As of the 8th of April, we are 14 weeks and 2 days. With a revised due date of 5th of October 2008.

So below are a selection of the photo's we received today.

A 4d shot of Little Lump sucking on the umbilical cord.... Mmmm tasty



A traditional Ultrasound on Little Lump lying in the fetal position. 8cm in length.

A more traditional 4d pose... The Stand and Moon... We moved around quite a bit before this was taken... Me thinks LL Cool B was setting us up for this... Notice the hands on the arse, spreading the cheeks... and a full stand and bend... takes after me.

A side shot of the belly and legs.. Notice the flatness of the stomach... From the mother..

All good... will see if I can upload the video of it all here... if any of you are interested in the 20 minute ordeal... Well it was an ordeal for Mel.. I sat in awe of the screen and the technology.. Very Cool!!
